Hi there, I'm Honor.  I'm a potter, teacher, and pottery enthusiast. 

 

Inspired by my travels and the people I meet on the way, I make functional pieces that sit quietly in people’s homes.

I started when I learnt to throw in my first year of university. For me the process is meditative.  The repetitive movements to make multiples of the same shape, using my whole body while seeming to sit still... I was hooked! I learnt about glazing, which is a process of alchemy, and I knew this was the career for me.  I have never looked back.

 

My journey with pottery has taken me from Nottingham to Sevilla, through Europe and Melbourne and now to Dorset.  I teach, make pots and run a pottery for adults with diverse learning needs.  I feel very lucky to have been able to meet so many amazing people and seen such wondrous sights through my travels, all of which have left their mark on me and my work.
